Photocat, Amazing texture and detail. I really enjoy images like this one that you can almost feel when looking at it. Nice job. E-

Looks alot better with the new crop. It draws your eye in better.

Thank you Nancy! I am glad you loved it. About the near-BHs, you guessed it correctly that this was not an easy shot. Any higher exposure would lead to BHs and any lower would make the dark leaf totally black. Not much breathing room here. As to how I got it... I bracketed it for 3 shots +-2/3 and the chose the best amongst them to work with. -Cat

I love the flowing lines on this; the lighting and post-processing on this image is great. How did you ever get sooooo close to blowing those highlights, but not cross the line? Nice, really nice. --Nancy/odigi

Thanks for the suggestion theFly!! It did cross my mind earlier but I wasn't sure about that in the begining, but your comment helped decide. I now have reduced the leaf in shadow part. Photo is updated. -Cat

PhotoCat. Maybe you could crop this one square and to the left. I really don't like that half the picture is a dark leaf. theFly
