Thansk for the feedback Abstract - if the nearest piece were anything other than a rook or a pawn if would have penetrated the lens as the camera is nearly on top of it. This really was a rushed effort to meet the challenge as my work is eating up most of my time these days. I'd love to have spent more time developing the idea of implicit guilt of those still standing.
The light painting was done with a mini-mag flashlight with a piece of red plastic over the light.
