Simply bootiful.

Vikas, glad to hear you're enjoying the challenge topic. It makes all the difference if you experiment outside of your usual shooting pattern and learn something new. THAT is what the challenges are about :-)

Simple, elegant... and what I'm coming to know as pure Vikas. Well done! --Nancy/odigi

Thanks Shu :-)

Thanks Michael, appreciate it.

Thank you Rob. I suspect no Exif thanks to PSCS2, which strips it away especially when adding borders.

Thanks a lot Gayle, appreciate it. Am having tons of fun with the 17mm end of the zoom thanks to you. Excellent topic, makes me think and try different stuff.

Cheers, Vikas.

I did one similar to this last year, with an old pair of boots and jeans on a white background. I like yours very much and I love how the wide angle has accentuated the toe of the front boot.

Love the color use here, orange is a good backdrop color me thinks. Why no exif data?

Geez, Vikas, how do you do it? This is just a pair of shoes and yet so very much more. Fabulous color, composition, and details. -Michael

Thanks Kelly and Lonnit, appreciate it. Just having fun with the 17mm end of my lens which is not often used except for landscapes.

Thanks Mystrery Poster. The set up is as you described, shoes on a table with the orange backdrop, taken at 17mm. Regarding distortion, didn't do anything special, maybe 17mm on a 20D isn't that wide? Don't know.

Cheers, Vikas.

Nice clean / minimalist image, Vikas. Nice background color that compliments the shoes and, good DOF has almost everything in focus for the viewer. Might I ask about your set-up? Are these shoes placed on a table / counter top with roll paper behind as the background and, how did you avoid the common wide angle distortion one sees in a lens this wide (17 mm)?
