the sunburst is actually quite interesting to me. it's so perfectly symmetrical. yes, it distracts from the topic but it's interesting none-the-less.

Yeah, I do think the sunburst is more of a distraction than an enhancement here. And though I do like the composition, I would probably have tried from some other angles. One that comes to mind is directly below the top span.

I am trying to decide if the really cool starbust distracts from the image. It's a really cool subject. ;)
