Flotsam*

One of my first attempts at a long-exposure water shot.
Is 4 seconds long enough for this challenge, or does it need to be longer?
As it was, I had all of the filters I own (all 2 :)) stacked on for this daylight shot.

I like the smooth water with its patterns and the branches at the corner. Nice! -Roumen

Thanks Nancy! And about your side note: no need to be impressed, I'm just using the same filters I use with my Sony (58 mm) :)). --Melanie

Melanie, you did good!! I love the silky quality to the water -- the branches really add to the imagery. As a side note, I'm so impressed you already have two filters! ;-) --Nancy/odigi

Thank you all for your comments. Dorys, I don't have a color version online. There really wasn't very much interesting color to the water, and what little color there was, was more distracting than anything else. It wasn't pretty :). --Melanie

I like the composition and the blurred ripples on the water. Black and white was a good choice.

Talk about a shot full of energy! The static-ness of the branches is such a great contrast to that gorgeous silky water. I like the tones you've chosen for this.

Four seconds is just perfect! You certainly cranked up your f-stops as high as possible...and I like the picture, sily to the feel in B&W.

Best Wishes,
