I totally agree with the comments. I was very frustrated trying to get this shot. Spent ages on it and could never quite get the look I was trying to achieve. Either the light was wrong or the background was too much in focus or the liquid (gylcerin) would flow too much. This shot was in fact a small crop from a test shot but I had to do too much to it in PP. If I get time I'll try again.

Have to agree with Michael a tripod and greater DOF would have generated more impact.

Lovely image, creativity & framing. Technically however, this image can be done better by providing a larger DOF, lower ISO with a tripod of sort. It's all blurry, unfocused and noisy. Fixing all that will make this image a lot more pleasant.
