I have to admit, for me the desaturation doesn't work. I do like the effect sometimes - but it tends to be to highlight something different (like a toy perhaps) rather than something the child is wearing. Phil

Earl, Thanks for the kind words. I didn't really know what others would think about making the image B/W (except for the red). I agree with you about the sunny highlights. We were under a tree on a very sunny day. But when she started looking up at her big brother who was climbing on top of the playset, I just couldn't pass the picture up! Jeannie, I like this one even more. (*) There are a couple of sunny highlights on her face that I wish weren't there, but they really don't take away from the image. I think the B&W/Color treatment works very well. Again, adorable. -Earl Waud
