Riding Across the Horizon

A lone cowhand, tearing across the horizon. His silhouette, marked strongly by the cloudscape behind him, could only be captured frozen at 1/640s. Image taken right before sundown on 4/7/2005 PST, marked at a few hours after the official challenge date+time.

Michael! Some Awesome 3 photos you entered! They are right down the alley of the theme and are great examples and encouragement for people to get out and shoot!!!!

Hi ISO...don't you sleep? Actually, the image is quite a bit larger. I cropped the tree on purpose cuz if I don't, the horizon will run quite a bit higher (I'm already hitting the top of the image and putting the horizon higher isn't very pleasing...to me, at least)...

You've entered a good set of three here Michael. If the guy on the horse had given you more time to compose, you may have not cropped the tree. I'd have liked to have seen all of it. The overall image, and the silhouette is very pleasing though.
