My folks have a Jack Russell, so I know *exactly* what you are talking about. Great shot. Hope you didn't lose any fingers in the process. ;)

Thanks for the comments, I struggled with the crop because I was uncomfortable with the fur as well but every crop I tried brought the dog to close to the edge of the frame and didn't feel right.

I totally agree about having the eyes in focus usually but I really thought his attitude came through in his mouth on this picture, besides it was a change from my normal style. But thank you for your comments I really appreciate the feedback.

Gary,

Cool foto...that little guy looks like he could take on anything and anyone! Just a few minor comments:

1) The fur/fluff int he foreground is a little distracting...
2) The focus is also a little distracting....but does perhaps work for this photo. I oftem appreciate the eyes in focus, as they tend to convey emotion strongly...however, in this case, the teeth in focus does work well giving that tough dog impression.

Overall cool foto...
