Michael,
I already bumped up the saturation by about 4%. If you are familiar with the 1DMk2, you know that you have to be careful with reds. They tend to have a fluorescent effect which occurred when I went beyond 4%. This is a female cardinal so her colors are accurate. Thanks for your comments.

Very beautiful image. If you would cover the left part of this image with your hands/papers/whatever, you might notice that the bird has became a stronger subject in this image and the tree branches behind it is no longer a distraction. It also gives you a bit more negative space to work with on the upper right corner and for the bird to look into. Technically, push the saturation just a tiny tad bit to make the bird stand out more. Presently, it looks the same color as the branches... You want it to stand out more, don't you? ;)

I'm not usually into bird images but I really like this one with the simple composition and colours of the bird.

Roberta this is really lovely. It makes me think of a Japanese print. Love the snow on her beak too. Just beautiful! Ann C

Roberta, nice shot! I notice that you've upgraded your gear. So the 135/2L reallly made you catch the prime-bug, huh? --Olaf.dk
