Store Kongensgade, Copenhagen, Denmark

Shot with camera on chest, strap around neck.
Turning my body to follow the lady as we passed each other.
Felt like a dance. Some cropping after the fact: top and left.

1/60s f/5.6 at 18.0mm iso100 full exif

I can’t pick out one specific aspect of this photograph to explain why I like it so much… It must be a compilation of the comments below. Nice work Olaf! It will be fun to see this one undoubtedly rise to the top during voting.

This is great. Love the ladies expression, the composition, expression. Everything works together really well.
Teapot.

That red coat really makes the image. Interesting composition even in black and white . . . but that red coat adds so much interest. Great job as usual, Cindy

This has a surprisingly intense feeling of action to it, due to the combination of angle, composition, and motion blur. Wonderful shot. Interesting technique, too. :-)

Darned you Olaf! This is undoubtedly your finest series of entries in any challenge! Isn't it fun to shoot with the camera away from your eye? It's amazing what a difference it can make - suddenly you're breaking rules left and right and it turns out great! I'm really happy for you. I bet you're very excited about these images. BTW, I just see you've got a 20D! Is that the difference? ;) Just kidding. I think I'm feeling a sense of more freedom in you with this series. Whatever it is, keep it up b/c you've just taken yourself up a very nice sized notch! Go Olaf!!!! ~ Lonnit

I like the punch of red and motion. Gone in the wink of an eye... or shutter.

This is an image with several levels. The face of the lady is very appropriate to the building on the picture, severe, concentrated and with closed eyes, parallels the traditional image of Justice with weighs. You could have called it "The face of the Law". Even the guy with the coat adds to this interpretation. Great work
