Cusco Public Transport *

This shot I took last week while in a holiday trip in Cusco. I waited for the car to get by and almost layed on the stoney road to have a nice upwards angle.

I really love this photograph. The sagging left rear suspension, combined with the animate appearance of the front of the bus (e.g. headlights for eyes, circle for the nose, grill as the mouth/teeth) gives it a whimsical feel. IMHO, I would crop out the bus on the left. I don’t feel that it adds much to the photograph, and its more modern appearance contrasts with the remaining aged parts of the composition.

Nice feel of old times

It's got something to do with the UTC time that we use, as it was pointed out to me we are stuck with that time zone so there will be some variations on the dates of the submitted shots, to me , not being to fussy, near enough is good enough as long as it can be explained away.

Hola Jorge,

Nice picture, full of Colonial flavor. But I think it falls out of the challenge's period...

Hello Gayle,

Cusco is the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, it is in Peru, South America. If you ever heard of Machu Pichu ruins, then you must have heard of Cusco.

Where is Cusco? I have never heard of it. The vehicle looks a bit like the old Melbourne trams, except it has rubber tyres instead of steel wheels.
I like the low perspective very much!
