EXIF is not a requirement so that's OK
Canon DSLR Challenge09-Jan-2005 10:11
Just did now - looks like something stripped out the EXIF data.

Tim - can you add the date to this?

Well, after a bit of a computer crash, Ive now tweaked the image a bit - cropped out the dtstracting bit from the top, and boosted the contrast.

I just wanna see ONE drop in focus. Just one!!! I think this would make the image really stand out.

Tim: you did a nice job of composing the image and you've really got an unusual color happening here. IMO it screams for a contrast adjustment (increase). You could probably also have cropped out some of the top where that pinkish color is invading :-) FWIW, I happen to like the image and the motion but... contrast, contrast, contrast :-) Markjay

I think it's great that you got exactly what you were after. But I fought hard with myself and conceded to agree with Phil.......:) I really do want to see this image sharp!!!! Even though I've seen a whole host of water splashes like it before, I want to this one like it too! It's composed in the frame nicely, and the colours are interesting.

I do think this would benefit from some more contrast. To give you an idea of what I mean, try using Levels or Curves, cutting off the RGB-channel at 50 and 180 for the shadows and highlights respectively. --Olaf.dk

Actually thats exactly the effect I was after. :-)

I love the motion blur effect, which I got by using rear curtain sync on the flash.

I agree about the colour Tim, but there doesn't seem to be any point of sharp focus. Even the droplets which have been caught mid-splash, which are often frozen by flash, are not sharp. Spoils it somewhat, I think. Phil
