I quite like this one as it is, with the exceptin of the petals. The highlights are a bit fierce. Overall though, I like the extra contrast in this, and the positioning in the frame.

Michael, thanks for the suggestion. I actually made that cloth visible just a little to let that vase to rest on something. As Lonnit mentioned below, without support the vase will be hanging in the air and that is a little distracting, at least to me :)

i'm in agreement with lonnit on the cloth... leave it or your subject looks like it has no foundation. i've come back to this image three times, that's how much i love it!

I didn't notice the cloth foldings but I don't think I'd like them removed because then the subject will just be floating nowhere making it into clipart. I love it just as it is. Very stunning shot. :) ~ Lonnit
