This was a perfect moment.

Irina, Alex (who was 1 year old) and myself were flying over the Grand Canyon enroute to a weekend
airshow in Colorado. The weather was perfect - both Irina and Alex were sleeping in the back
seat, and with the noise cancelling headsets it was quiet.

I had never seen the Grand Canyon before, it was magnificent! Usually when flying over 10,000 feet,
the world below is pretty flat and two dimensional - but not then. It was just incredible!
I looked back to see if Irina and Alex were as captivated by the sight as I, but they were
sound asleep. That image, in itself, was moving as well.

Time, for a split second... stopped.
