I agree on the disturbing part.. I think it's the underlying element of torture that seals that feeling. The backlighting was a great choice to make each pin almost glow.

I remember this one vividly... and yes, it is disturbing. Just picture this many nails being hammered in and yes, it is disturbing. And it does remind of voodoo too. I really like the lighting which heightens the effect. Ann C

They probably thought it was disturbing because it is akin to a voodoo doll. If this was, the guy he's molded after must have really, really done someone wrong!
