i think this has potential but right now all the tension relies on an understanding of the props. more tension could be created with some high contrast, dramatic lighting and some creative framing. for example, a strong side light and the whole image tilted 30º...

Good concept for the challenge. I'm sure a father would freak out for something like this... :D * -> Good points from Jonas, changing the lighting would improve the image and I agree with Ed about the pills. How about bullets/shells instead? Or just one bullet - standing on the table, pointy end upwards? -Arn

Hmmm. (*) The shot is powerful, but I wonder if the pills are really needed here? -Ed Hahn

Great idea! But be careful when showing to your family... Technically one way to create a dramtic effect would be to make the lightning of the scene more contrasty. A lamp to the side, very low would create dramatic shadows for example. Another way of increasing the drama would be to work with the composition. Diagonals in a picture often feels dramatic and you get a "movement" (a feel that something is happening) in the image. Maybe tilt the paper and the camera? The gun is placed slightly diagonal. But maybe point it towards the camera would make it more "dangerous"? /Jonas
