Shallow Pumpkins

I bought this tiny pumpkin the other day
specifically for it's curly-cue vine
still hanging on the stem. I thought it
the cutest thing and wanted to do
a shallow DOF shot to showcase it.

This morning I remembered my intention and was pleased
because I was otherwise out of ideas for today's PAD.
It's raining and pretty darn cold
so today called for indoor shooting.

Used my 500D close up lens on my 50.

Very artful. Few focus on the pumpkin's stem (pardon the pun), but that's a very interesting part of it!

Now I'm contradicting myself, but I love your soft focus Angela. Just when I was telling everyone else to sharpen up. The difference is that you planned it that way. Beautiful fall colors here, wonderful composition. Can't think of one thing to change.
