The eye is such the focal point in this work. It's so captivating.
I recognised who the artist was straightaway.

The Eye definetly has it. You're very talented with your B&W conversions. Like the composition and the fact that you deared go that near with the camera. /Jonas Svedberg

I played with this a little in Photoshop then I noticed you dont have an asterisk in the title. I'd be happy to show you the results if you are interested.

I agree with the other comments. I think the picture is about her eye, which is beautifully rendered, but the oof parts of the image are visually dominant. IMHO cropping some off the bottom and emphasizing the eye with graduated shading would make it more pleasing.

Sharp... I think it would also work by cropping just under the mouth, you'd get a nice diagonal between eye and mouth and better balance in the picture, IMHO of course.

I agree with the previous comment that the image seems a bit bottom-heavy... I see why you did it, though - to keep her chin.

The detail really sets this one out.

Very striking, who said the kit lens wasn't sharp? I, personally, am wondering whether a bit cropped off the bottom might help? - Jono
