I keep coming back to this image, the sky really makes this feel moody. It gives me the feeling that I want to leave, but keep looking back. Very nicely done.

Did you already decide what the assignment for challenge 25 is going to be?
Rob.

I like the surreal feeling of this pic. You're pushed into the hole by all the diagonal lines formed in the picture. And I think it's perfect in B&W. /Designboy

Think B&W is the way to go for this image, don't think it would have the same impact in colour, right now it has a great 'mood' to it, something really cool and at the same time, something kind of creepy, which I love.

Cheers. Vikas.

I meant I wasn't much help in deciding between color or black and white... --Olaf

Oh you *are* helping a lot Olaf, making me and others think and try different things. :)

I agree, looks great like this, in black and white, too! Not much help, am I? --Olaf

Jon, iso - thanks, I appreciate it.
The look of this b&w picture came about a little bit by chance, I first simply desaturated and adjusted curves and contrast, but it was a bit flat looking. I then added a minimum of film grain filter and this changed the feel a lot, both by adding some gritty mood, but it also increased the contrast in a different way.

Fantastic image. Mono is best for me too. You've got the ultra wide really working for you with your 1.3 crop. The tonal range is superb across the whole thing.

Thanks Vikas! I asked for help choosing between b&w and color in the challenge thread, and most everyone seems to prefer color. Hmm, I still like the b&w... we'll see.
