Very nice - I can see this as a fine-art print quite easily. I particularly like that you you saw something in the shot, despite it being OOF, to keep working on it and make a purse out of the sow's ear :)

Thanks for the inspirational comments. As you will see from my galleries I am not usually into this type of effect but this picture was just to beautiful to bin but not sharp enough to display in its captured form. I am glad some people like it even though it has been manipulated.

Cheers

Like most, I'd usually not be keen on such effects, but in this case this has worked very well. It's very arty, and I could see it on the wall, especially in a contemporary-decorated "loft"! Phil

Colin,
I think you used the contour in an outstanding way. Very effective. Roberta

Very nice shape and composition! This would be stunning as a normal photo. I'm usually not very keen on any filter treatment, and not in this case either. Nice save of an unsharp picture though!

I am one for whom this deeply appeals. Fantastic! Yoni

:-) The original picture was not sharp enough to submit but the shape was just so perfect.

Unusual treatment that will appeal to some and be a great turn-off to others, I'm afraid. I commend you for the creative touch! --Olaf
