This was shot at the Chobe National Park, Botswan. I'm afraid I don't see many where I live, a bit north of New York City. I believe that this is a 'Fish Eagle' and you can see more athttp://www.pbase.com/fal/linyanti_reserve. fred
Wonderful eagle photo. Where were you when you took this one? I have become a major fan of eagles since we saw the young pair build their nest from scratch last winter. (You can see the male carrying a stick in my photo in this challenge.) They are such magnificent birds. Many of them live here in the Pacific Northwest. This summer I saw many more in Southeast Alaska. Thanks for sharing this photo. Ann C
