iso3200: This shoot was taken in shadow - the only place where you can stay longer than a minute or two in Las Vegas outside of a casino or hotel (temperature is above 120 degree Fahrenheit).
Olaf: You are probably right about an aperture - could be much better at 4 or 5.6. But 2.8 is "extreme" for Tamron lens and also the focusing distance was too short for f/2.8 (DOF will be too small I think).
Beautiful subject - seems to be a bit in shadow though. A different quality of light may have done more for this? I love her look, and the movement of hair.

Would have liked the background to be more blurry though - you could have shot this at f/2.8!
