Klondike Days - Edmonton, AB

I was taking pictures at Klondike Days in Edmonton, and this kid saw me taking pictures and kept yelling "Hello" as he passed me... I tried several shots, and this one was the best. It might have been better If I could have panned a bit better... but not bad for my first try at panning. Feel free to critique.

Thanks for the comment. I think I was also too close to the subject when shooting. It was very hard to pan properly when he was coming so close. I guess I need to prepare my shot's a bit more. At the time I was just trying ot catch his face at all. The other shots I got of him were much clearer, but caught at the wrong angle. Oh well, live and learn. I kind of like the ghostly effect though.

It's a little too blurred for my taste Byron. Looking at your exif 1/20s at 55mm is hard to get sharp on a stationary subject never mind a moving subject. You could have upped your iso speed to 400 which would have brought your shutter speed to 1/80s giving you a better chance at a sharper shot.
