Phew Angela, you had me worried - thought maybe I'd offended you... --Olaf

Olaf, I just saw your comment in your vote for this... (thanks for the vote!) Yes I did see your comment here. Sorry I never got a chance to respond. I tried your suggestion to crop, but something about it lost the balance for me and what I wanted to show. (plus I so prefer the 3:2 ratio) I do appreciate a different vision though! It's nice to step back and try things that others see.

You are an artist Angela! The odd perspective faced you with a problem of what to do about the dark hole of the pitcher and you put some grapes on the edge of the pitcher to alleviate the problem? I like the composition and the blur is a strike of genius that makes this a piece of art! That said, I think I'd like it even more if it were cropped down, to slightly above the dark grapes and from the left edge into where the red apple meets the lower frame edge. I think that would intensify the composition by having the frame filled to all edges and corners, avoiding the empty white corners, as well as solving the problem of the dark pitcher hollow. It would simply strengthen the diagonal composition of the red apple over the orange pear to the dark grapes. I thought of the above and then tried it myself and really thought it was an improvement. Hope me suggesting it is OK, considering you don't have an asterisk in the title. You do know I like your photography in general and this one is no exception, whether you crop it or not! --Olaf
