And One*
Enigmarogue

Walla Walla College Wolves scoring against the opposition. Unfortunately this shot was taken last year and I don't have the full res shot with me so I pulled it off my pbase site. The exif data didn't come through, but if you'd like to see it as well as a few extras notes, here's the link: http://www.pbase.com/image/10424417

Levels, sharpening and resize done in PS. No cropping done. ~Enigmarogue

I would also have liked to include a bit more in the frame, but was already at 70mm on my 70-200. I was standing on the baseline, and could have stepped back slightly, but usually stay on the baseline to avoid people walking in front of the camera (a problem due to the layout of this gym). Should have used the 28-70, though usually consider it a bit too short for sports (though would have been excellent here). Also, I don't have much cropping power with the D30 so I like to shoot them a little tight. Maybe it's time to get that 1D Mark II :D

While I understand how challenging this type of shot can be, ideally, I would have liked to see a bit more in the frame. Seeing the floor would have been great and the front figure would be more clearly "flying". I can't help but wonder how many other feet are up in the air - would have loved to see them too! I reallly thought that the movement theme would bring a whole load of sport action shots, and am surprised of how few there really are (so far anyway). --Olaf.dk
