Markjay, thanks for comment. Both are night shots but we have lots of low clouds which are lit by town lights and in such conditions the night sky is never pitch black. Out of camera frames had a strong magenta cast which was not present in reality. Probably I should have made a custom WB but I used automatic WB and this is (rare) example when it does not work very well. Therefore I made a color correction in PS and I believe that on this shot it is quite close to what I have actually seen, but another entry is a bit oversaturated
Nicely seen, Alexig. Can you tell me, is this entire TOWN this color scheme? I look at your other challenge entry... the one with the backand front lit tree and, this has almost the EXACT same color scheme to it... that same greenish, organge tones (although not as strong as in the tree image)http://www.pbase.com/image/27344329. I liked this the first time I saw it Alex and I still do. It has such a mysterious quality. I like images that are abstract and have emotional content too. This is one. Ann C
