Phil, thank you very much for your comment!!! You are so right! - and I knew it too, when submitting it. It's taken quite a while ago, and I try to convince myself that I have learned and grown as a photographer since, but I am still attracted by the pattern of the calm waves. The deep colors are a result of the more recent scan and post-processing. I just have a "thing" with water, and the pattern and colors of this photo seduced me to the point where I submitted it, even though I knew it was missing a focal point (point of interest). Also, I thought it had a real liquid quality to it, maybe even more so than the plain shot of the water. Could make for a nice colorful background on a poster or something, I imagine. --Olaf

Beautiful colour Olaf but - to paraphrase you, if I may - lacking a focal point! I realise that the subject is liquid but... just liquid? I still like it though! Phil
