This was done for another dpreview challenge which was a movie poster challenge but the photo portions are relevant to this challenge so I thought I would upload it.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, the skull is from my collection of Halloween paraphernalia. It was photographed under a single 150w shop-light with a black sheet under and behind. The eye is my eye photographed in the bathroom mirror (and of course edited in PS). The paramount, dolby, nc-17, and mandalay symbols were photographed off DVD cases I had around the house. All other text was typed in on various layers in PS. The credits form what I think would be a dream team for a dark movie. They are people from the three "Evil Dead" series of movies and some from Sleepy Hollow which is one of my favorite more recent films.
The challenge was from the Olytalk forum on dpreview and the goal was to create a movie poster. There was no limit placed on the amount of editing that could be done but you had to photograph the elements yourself.

Based on your comments, did you photograph the skull? I am curious about the behind the scenes of this one. Was this originally a photoshop challenge? Perfect movie poster! - RO
