Alone Again, Naturally

This image has kind of a special meaning to me, since
it's the exact location that I fell on the rocks with
my now broken Sony F707 and, it was the VERY last shot
I got before the unfortunate meeting of rock and camera.

The bird was just standing there, looking out into the
ocean as if it was looking for companionship or something
deeper?

Hmmm, I wonder if the bird was thinking, "Careful, those rocks are slippery!" Nice shot Mark. I often envy the access that you have to such wonderful, photographic subjects at the shore - and your ability to recognize a photo opportunity.

Mark, I'm so sorry to hear about your 707. You have done some amazing work with it. This is really a beautiful picture. The rough rocks and choppy waves contrast nicely with the serenity of the bird. Lisafx
