Great concept and nice execution, i.e. capture of a process I'm all to familiar with, haha! Didn't see the gray b/g, but this looks good to me, Nico. Cheers, -mikey

A clever take on the subject, Nico. I could never do the Rubix Cube thing. My mind just doesn't work that way (or that well). -dtallakson

Hi Nico,

I wouldn't worry. My PS skills are meager compared to most.
I hope you don't mind me trying... Here is a quick edit of your photo. Create a new layer, a copy of the original. Adjust contrast, erase away(set to lower opacity) any parts that look too bright are shadows too dark. Flatten image. Create another copy layer. Then tweak the white background even more... Selective Color, select Whites , drag Black slider to the left. Again, slightly erase away parts you dont like. Flatten image again. Then clone out some little dings in the cubes, etc. I also did smooth out the shadows a bit. Just to try to even out the foreground texture. Might have been too much but it's just for a quick example.

After reading the comments I'm not sure if this is the original or a later version, but I don't see a problem with it as it is. Clever idea and caption. Regards, Michael

Clever take on the topic, Nico. It's nice to have someone like Techo around to help out, isn't it?

Thanks for super advice, Techo. Man, I am in serious need of more PS training. I only know the very very basics, I think. Thanks again. Regards Nico

A very fun concept. They grey can be easily fixed in Photoshop, especially because it is uniform throughout the background/foreground. The shot is slightly underexposed which is why I reckon it's more grey than you would've liked? A simple contrast/brightness tweak should do the trick. And then via Selective Color, you can tweak the nuetral and whites. Unless you want to reshoot on a completely different colored background. This image is very a good starting point if you want to tweak a few things.

I do like it... from well organized to jumbled. :) jano

The more I see of this, the less I like it. I don't like grey backgrounds. No... this will have to be redone, I am afraid...

Too funny with the Ctrl-Z. At least they used stickers instead of painting it. -Doug
