Yosemite National Park
On the morning of 16 May, 2005, due to an exceptionally warm overnight rain and melting snow, the Merced River overflowed its banks and flooded Yosemite valley. As the water rose, I saw these coyote following the water line hunting small rodents that were fleeing the flooding meadow. The coyote would leap, catch the prey, and toss the rodent into the air repeatedly catching it again.
