My Buddha

A small bronze Buddha purchased in 1973 on the grounds of the Kamakura Buddha in Japan. This has been sitting on my night stand for 36 years.

Reflecting:

Why?
Why am I here?
Why are we all here?
What is our purpose in life?
Why is this thus?
What is the reason for all this thusness?
Koan - Do my dogs have Buddha nature or not?

other sizes: small medium original auto

36 years and you just now thought to photograph it? lol
And where are the colored bottles? :-)

Seriously, this is a very soothing image to look at and you composed it very nicely.

Beautiful all around, Pops. I'd applaud with one hand, but I'm not sure of the sound it would make...

I'm not much into Buddha, Pops, but this is a stunning image... especially for a "reflection" challenge. You're a clever one!

Kiki, do you often view images from 45 degrees? I only do it for my own to see how others might view it with differing monitor settings. I find this intriquing... although unusual. :)

The colors here, Pops are most pleasing. ~Lydia

Exquisite. Excellent composition, light and color. Most soothing. There are some large areas with burnmarks(?), mostely vertical on the right half side, and one in the lower half, diagonally down into the left side. I didn't see them at first, quite subtle. I don't see them I view the pic straight from the front on the LCD either. But they're visible when I vied the monitor at a 45 degree sideways angle. Without them, this would smell like a National Geographic front page. Nitpicking, but this picture is sooo good.
