Dear Lydia, Thank you! I must say that I like the effect I got when shooting through the yellow plate which included some blemishes. The effect gives Ed a very strange look and all the elements contribute to the image in a way that satisfies me. (Ed is an amateur actor and has appeared in over 100 plays in his lifetime, so I linked these shots to the many characters he's played over the years.) I liked them so much that I saved 5 as a series in my pbase gallery. You have obviously taken time to critique this image and I very much appreciate your comments! shu

To me in this one, Shu, the reflections (bright white stuff) are the only things that aren't pretty in the scene. But perhaps, that's the statement you're trying to make... and I'm okay with that. Still, I think it would be much better without the glaring white reflections. I'm only one voter, though... so don't pay me much attention. The others all seem to love it. ~Lydia

Thank you Algis and K2! I have a series of 5 of these yellow plate shots in my pbase galleryhttp://www.pbase.com/shupiz/omni_collection, "What's New" gallery. I liked the effect I got and decided to use them as a series. This image may appeal to a few folks who like this kind of thing and as for reflections .......... yellow on the cup and face will do it? shu

Holy Moly.. this is special. Handmade glass or tiles? A special feeling about this one, like a ghostly window into times past, eerie, yet he looks like a merry character, greeting the viewer with something as peaceful as a cup of coffee. Nice composition, weird but fitting colors, very well seen. (I'd keep the top btw.) -k2

Thank you, Mary Anne. I had considered it, but felt the crop was too tight. The distortion at the top, I believe, adds an eerie element to the image. shu
