it looks like a great book. Well, anyway, it's a great picture.

...I've had that damned book for almost exactly 50 years now. It was published in 1829.

I have never received a whits worth of use from it having purchased it in 1959 while a mere lad.

I contemplated what to do with this book....and have repeatedly wondered what to do with it. I have moved with it and a thousand other books through a dozen different houses, one war, some time at the revolution and subsequently....

Frankly, my dear, I'm going to die...not soon, I hope, but too soon nonetheless. I need to start using and/or giving away stuff as fast as reasonably possible. Of late, I've been giving away some money, and I am one cheap B##tard.

I'm giving away clothes and cameras and whatever.

I was going to write to the University of Heidelberg Library and asked if they wanted it. (It is I believe an old German Almanac)

I am a very busy man, professionally and in my life....but I need to kick my butt on some of these things.

Sharon, you want it? I'll drop it in the mail, really.

I need to get rid of this stuff, hopefully to someone that will have a use for it Unlike my sisters, I'm not a pack rat...but I have way too much stuff. I've got a garage full of books and diving and sports and whatever stuff.

Sigh.

In truth, and I've seen this of late far too often...someone dies and a 6x20 dumpster is parked outside and the stuff is just...thrown away.

Truth.

Nothing wrong in this, just the truth.

Maybe as it should be. I don't want to impose my stuff on my family...who have their own stuff.

You understand.

Nicely done. I trust that Photoshop, and not the highlighter, is responsible for the yellow! I never learned German. What does the highlighted passage say?
