Excellent shot of this rather sad-sack looking bird. I love the golden colors.

Thanks Bob. I'll have to get down there. It's only about a 30 min trip from my home. Regards Michael

I second everything Carole said. I'd just like to see the gull sharpened a bit.

I like the play of light and shadow on the water and gull. Even though the color of the water is brownish, it has a transparent look to it and the little ripples and waves in the background show the gentle movement of the water. Nice one Bob! CJ

Thank you Shu, Michael and Nico, very much appreciate your comments.

Michael, this was taken at the Williamstown 'Back beach' near the old time ball. It is the old rock pool area, I often drive around there for water pics'. These gulls like to break open the shellfish on the rocks and so frequent this area.

Regards Bob

Lovely, Bob. The composition is perfect and in my imagination I can sense the gentle waves and ripples on the water. Well done! Regards Nico

Nice light and colour Bob. I don't think I have ever seen one of these birds in Melbourne. Is that the Yarra (from the colour I'm guessing it might be)? Regards Michael
