This was shot on a blank CD-R. I often play with CDs as macro backgrounds because you can adjust the angle of the "grooves" in the CD with respect to the light source and get a diffraction grating effect so that wild colors show up in the photo.
I had a lot of ideas for shots for this challenge, but I really ran out of time and didn't get to shoot any of them except this one, just at the last moment.
After I uploaded it, with a few minutes to spare, PBase decided to take its sweet time so I wasn't sure I'd make it under the wire... under the wire... another idea for a shot for this challenge, I guess :) Jim H.
