A friend of mine was just noting that it's the 100th anniversary of the Queensboro Bridge and posted the amazing shot of the bridge in the movie "Manhattan," which must be the most (justly) famous film image of New York. And this also gives me that feeling -- the ethereal mist mythologizing the buildings, and the sense that this picture could come from 40 years ago as well as today. I love it.

Yes, from our 31st floor room and luckily we were able to open the windows about 6 inches--just enough space for a lens!! --Mary Anne

Thanks, Nico. I've tried tilting it one way and then another and even using the skew tool, and it continues to look tilted to me. Must be an optical illusion. --Mary Anne

What a dramatic picture! Eerie atmosphere. Somehow it feels to me as if a slight rotation to the right might help, or am I suffering from optical illusions here? :-) Compliments and regards Nico
