Thank you, CJ. I was very happy with the background color resulting from it being unlit. It is actually simply a white bedsheet. :) I thought the tones were perfect for her hair, all helping to make her face very dominant, as it should be in a portrait. ~ Lonnit
Very nice portrait of Demmi Lonnit and I like the PP - her eyes really do stand out against the brighter skin tones and the background color suits the image well. CJ
No, in this shoot I didn't have a light on the background. I used a white backdrop and I didn't want it bright white and sterile. It might look nice a little less bright in the face too, but I liked the way the eyes really pop against the bright face. Thanks for commenting. :) ~ Lonnit
That is a really interesting expression... it sort of conveys thoughtfulness... seriousness... perhaps even tending towards sadness (well, to me at least.) Can I ask another technical question? Do you have a light aimed at the background to give you the nice distinction between fore-and backgrounds? Regards Nico
