The Bridge

.

.

Though Pop's Bridge was made out of wood...and had a different purpose.

But, in fact, a Bridge is....a Bridge.

That lovely old sailing ship certainly does put us in a time warp, esp. with a modern bridge and (I think) some factory smokestacks in the far background. Despite all the busy-ness of the image, all those blues give an air of peacefulness. Very nice, Trav.

Nice scape Trav, anything with water and ships grabs my attention. Lots of action here.

The bridge certainly is an imposing structure.

Fix'd....thanks, Jim. Also larger....more compression but what the heck. Traveller

Very nice, there is a lot of interesting stuff going on here. A suggestion would be to rotate about 1 degree CCW so that the vertical lines near mid frame are vertical.

This is a very interesting capture, would love to see it in sepia, with vignette[sp?]. The Del Coronado Bridge almost looks photo-shopped in. Nicely done, there is a soft spot in my heart for San Diego.

Just what I wanted to say: super example of layered composition. Well done, Traveller. Regards Nico

I like several (and very different) layers here

The location is San Diego Bay, from the flight deck of the Aircraft Carrier Midway looking South towards the Coronado Bridge with the California, the tall masted ship, returning to her berth.

The California does do whale watching excursions I believe...though this was not one of those outings for this ship.

Best Wishes, Traveller

The Difference between my CRT Monitor and my large Laptop LCD Display is always....almost startling to me. I have thought of posting images that look best on a LCD because that's what most people are using now monitor-wise...but because I print and this CRT returns pleasing prints...(deep vibrant colors, good detail at 12x18), I am sticking with only processing images on the CRT.

But yes, this looks a bit washed out on my Laptop LCD also.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Very cool shot... the difference in the time scenes is fascinating, Trav. It seems a bit 'washed out' to me though. Might be my monitor. ~Lydia

Nice shot, Trav! Where is this? With the building and the schooner and without the big bridge in the background we could almost be back in time. Just lovely! ~Sharon
