Nice image, Pops. There's just something about an old musical instrument that's special. You think of all the hands this violin has passed through and all the people who've been touched by the music that it's produced. -dtallakson
Beautiful Pops, cannot tell when the bridge was made but that piece of 'fibre glass spaghette' is definitely 20th century... lol

Thanks, Nico. The violin was made in the mid 19th century and is not a high quality instrument. It is a good violin. There's no way to know how old the bridge is. The violin has seen a pretty rough life as it is very scared and scratched. I have seen violins of the same age that are in pristine condition. Since I've had it for only 20 of it's 160+ years there's no telling what abuse it's been through.
Wow, I do not think I have seen this part of the instrument from so close up. The darker wood at the bottom looks more worn than I would have anticipated. Is this just from normal usage? Age? Regards Nico
