That is really 'pushing it' alexeig, .... lens wide open at max focal length and extreme ISO... but it worked well!

Great capture and topical as well.

Nico: yes, this is Beethoven, New Year concert in Vienna. No problems with bringing a camera, but in Opera they do not like it

Splendid, alexeig. And that specific piece of music (I am assuming your title refers to Beethoven's masterpiece) remains probably THE piece of classic music for me. I am astonished that you were able to capture this at a live performance. In my part of the world, that would have been pretty much impossible to get permission, or to sneak in a camera. Super image. Surprisingly very little noise for 3200. Did you use a noise reduction program or PS to get rid of any?
It's amazing how I can hear the orchestra from this shot, but there's not a single instrument in the shot. ~Lydia
