Thanks DT and Nico, Yes it isn't a job for everyone but it is a good fit for me. In all honesty the first time I looked up and saw 219 feet of boom above me I said "What the heck was I thinking !!" To get "into" my office varies, with both the jibs (part you can see thru at the tip) it takes about an hour to be ready to hoist (only 1 jib on here, you can see my 2nd jib's ear sticking out by cylinder at top edge of picture) for just main boom I am ready in 20 minutes. Screen name was from first crane I operated 25 ton 92 feet of boom hence picks2592 this one would make me picks 92219 lol john

Impressive on many levels... and something I feat I will not have the nerve to do! How long does it take you each day to get into your "office"? Regards Nico

From dusk until dawn I do see my reflection in the top window and front window while operating due to the cranes LCD information panel lighting the interior of the operators cab, Quite annoying so I generally cover it over unless I am making a critical lift. john

Reflection is fake, hung camera from ceiling and slightly behind me (writing on hat would be reversed if real) 2 layers of crane boom dragged in to surround my s.p. dropped my fill and opacity on me and top boom layer. Shot at 3200 iso wide open with 1 light across room trying to soften up some detail on me

Cool, John! Is that really your reflection in something? Glass? Or is it PSd in? ~Lydia
