By way of postscript, I passed on volunteering go to airborne school and join the 101st in 1967. A friend who took the G2 spot instead of me was unfortunately shot up and lived but was never the same. -tv

Technically they're not self-portraits but they sure are interesting and I'm not going to move them anywhere. One of my goals in this challenge was to learn more about everyone though their photos and yours tell a lot, Trav. ~dtallakson

I am just shocked what mere boys we were then...I see myself but don't recognize that youth at all; that child. But being a Screaming Eagle, and in my case, Strike Force, 2nd/502, does stay with you, yes & I actually wrote our Company Moto...

No Mission too Difficult,
No Task too Great,
Duty First

(What can I say? I was a callow youth...lol)

Wow. My Uncle was 101st Airborne. He was "lucky" enough to go into France on D Day +4 and he did the Ardennes Forest and Bastogne thing in WWII. He lived to a ripe old age. He was always proud of being a Screaming Eagle.

I would, however, further note that this was taken with my camera and all three shots were at least a little set up by me...though I did not push the shutter.

This is going to be a Challenge Problem...I did not take the shot...Truth be know, I didn't take any of them....that people shoot me...I found interesting. But I may be dead in the water, rule-wise, on this.

Not that that would be a problem for me.

Delete and be damned.....lol

(I do mean the above in a good natured way, I hope you understand...A girl's gotta have fun)

Best Wishes, Traveller
