Totally agree with Melbob on this one, "great bokeh, rich colours and on topic".

Thanks Mary Anne They look to be solidly made..... and dove tailed which is quite rare these days.

Biscuit jointing and finger jointing or just straight butt jointing and wishful thinking seems to be the 'order of the day?'

Nice, and thanks for the whisper.... such a relief... :-)

~ Regards Bob

Thank you Pops, Lydia, Penny, and Nico. Bob I bought the chairs (6 of them) and a quarter-sawn oak clawfoot table at a used furniture store. They told me the pieces might be antiques, but I don't know if they were hand-made. However, there's an old label on the bottoms of the chairs saying they were made by S.Bent & Brothers out of Gardner, Massachusetts. Also that the wooden chairs have dovetailed construction. Does that answer your question? I can send you a pic of the entire chair if you'd like.
--Mary Anne (whisper...definitely not from the "I---" place)

It is nice Mary Anne, simple, great bokeh, rich colours and on topic.

I need to know, otherwise I just will not sleep thinking about it....
" Is this a hand made chair?"

If it comes from that well known... 'I....' place... please just whisper it to me.... not wanting to open old wounds for... "you know who....?"

Regards Melbob

I love how you've echoed the shape and form of this chair back with the out of focus chair in the background. That is well done and deserves high praise.
