This carved lizard could be a parody of one of Lydia's live frogs. -tv

Thanks everyone. I do love boxes. I don't know why. Melbob...I think it was something called "ironwood". It does seem very hard. It's quite heavy, too. Lydia, it is an iguana. The angle of the shot distorts the carving a bit so it's hard to tell from the photo. ~dtallakson

What a COOL box, dt! Is that a lizard-type of being carved in it? Lovely and simply presented. ~Lydia

Beautiful box , love the wood grain and the carving is very good.

Appears to be a very 'hard' wood, I wonder just what it is?

Beautifully presented dT ~ Regards Melbob

What a beautiful box DT! I love boxes, especially nicely carved ones like this! I like how you positioned the cover and the angle of the shot to show off the grain and carving. CJ

Fabulous box with great texture and tones. I would have preferred either a tighter crop or a much looser crop with lots of negative space. Minor nit picks. Good work.

Very nice shot and treatment. I too am working on a box shot, two box shots actually! I'm not sure how it'll compare to yours though.

Yes, a very nice box, great wood tones...I am in fact working on a box shot myself.
I Can't get the interior light to work right....but this is very good. Best Wishes, Traveller
