Weathered Seat

Crater Lake National Park, OR, USA

This bench is a resting spot at the end of the Cleetwood Cove trail on the waterfront of Crater Lake. Not very many people take the hike down into the caldera.

Nice composition Lisa Marie.

I think this would benefit from a little selective contrast control and levels adjustment to bring out the nice textures in the wood.

Sounds like a beautiful place to visit (with an oxygen tank for we old farts... lol)

Thanks Pops! I wish it was different too, but it looks just like this photo, really white pumice rock, against a really white and completely weathered white washed out bench. I will google and see if I can find out how long the bench has been there, I am guessing over 60 years. Perhaps a re-crop?

Love the character of the bench. I just wish the color of the ground was a bit different to make the bench more prominent.
