Yes, we are, Melbob; aren't we?? Many thanks for your "philosophical" conclusion on the dialogue between Pops and me! And thanks, of course, for your kind remark on the image too! (It's still a *photo* challenge, right?). Regards, db.
Well?.... I guess ..... "the grass always appears greener......" I really love the snow (being from a very much more temperate climate)... but rarely get to experience it.
I can visualise an amusing scene whereby those from the north wave as they pass those from the south ... each escaping the rigours of their climatic birthplace?
Well, Pops, I moved thirty years ago from Switzerland to Spain. Getting "away from all that white stuff" was not the main aim at all, but a welcome "side-effect". Meanwhile, I do enjoy "all that white stuff" and the atmosphere it creates when every now and again spending a few days "back home". I'm glad the snow makes sense to you at least in this image... ;-) db.

Years ago I moved from Detroit to Atlanta to get away from all that white stuff. I don't like it. This picture reaffirms my decision to move to a warming climate. On another note the whites really offset the wood tones making them an important part of the picture. That contrast works well here.
