Macro Cosmos

Just for fun! A mock up of both Lydia's eminent lens pic, and Olaf's light poles. The "stars" here are cutouts from light pole shots, taken with a star filter. So there's a LOT of metal here ;)

To the extent that this has anything going for it at all, it's a tribute to the hostess. The rest is a tribute to a bottle of wine, and some good looking food I just ate. I wash my hands.

And: Today I signed the sales contract for my old apartment. At today's exchange rate, I'm getting 15K$ more than I reckoned with 14 months ago(!). I'm fairly happy :))

other sizes: small medium original auto

Penny and dt: Thank you :)
I doubt it would be quicker with a PS filter, at least not if the "stars" were to look mostly different. Then again.. it might actually look nicer if they *were* more similar.. must try that sometime.

Well done Kiki. I'm impressed that you did all those stars with cutouts rather than Photoshop. The lighting and everything else is perfect. A wonderful tribute to hour hostess! ~dtallakson

Kiki, you're witty, talented, and now free from real estate burden - what more could a person ask for?!!
Lydia, you're special and I second a vote for kiki's tribute to you, your equipment, and your little creatures! This is special.

Kiki, if you shoot me an email, I can share photos of my apartment for sale. It is sold now, just in time before the REAL crisis hit - it was for sale for a year... I also have a comment or two about ceiling heights...

Olaf: In case you wonder, the place where I bought my new apartment is still under partial construction: "Nye Major", corner apt. on the 5th floor. Google for images.

The old place has a 3,12m ceiling height. The new place has 2,52m. Tall enough to not feel cramped, low enough to not risk my life when changing light bulbs! And it has two glass balconies. [Insert barn-door sized smiley here]

Thank you, Lydia! :) Very relieved the apartment is off my hands now.. it's been a long year.. all kinds of delays. And since you mentioned the word: Yes, I think it may have been a miracle. Not too experienced with such, but to the best of my knowledge, this was it :)

Olaf: Thank you! :) Love your comments lol.

Housing prices have been going down here for over a year, in average down around 14% from the top now, somewhat less in Oslo. The old apartment was *nothing* special, here's a link to the ad (mind you: It's "styled"! That stuff is NOT my furniture. It looks ridiculous, but I had already moved long ago when the shooting for the ad took place.)

(link removed)

The buyer is a concerto pianist and teacher from the music academy here. He wanted something central with fewest possible neighboring apartments. And he gets that: One apartment above, none below or on the sides. He also needs to move his Steinway's through the windows, which is easiest on ground floor, of course. In brief: It simply found the right buyer :)

Oh, and congrats on the sale! Is the housing market upside down in Norway, compared to the rest of the World (not very likely), or was your old apartment an exclusive one-of-a-kind type of place (my bet)?

Kiki, I love your humor, your creativity and your post-processing skills!

For ME?! I am so thrilled! Really. This just makes my week. It's about on the same plane as winning the last challenge, Kiki. Especially, because I love Kermit. (He sang 'Lydia, the Tattooed Lady')

Very well done! It's a keeper, for sure.

CONGRATS on your sale and your profit. Almost a miracle in this housing market! ~Lydia
