This is a great one. I love the lone lamp on "our" side of the road, too. I enjoy the atmosphere and mood that this creates. Jim H.

Wow, thanks Alexei, Nico, Cary, mr. (?) Tallakson, Alastair and Lydia! All the positive remarks on this give me hope that I haven't lost it completely, in spite of a long absence from photography. I have been uninspired and do feel rusty. To be honest, the way I felt about this shot was more like: "it's kind of neat."

Fantastic. No further word applies :-)

Welcome back, Olaf! Indeed a strong entry and somehow also quite different from what I came to associate with you. Not a criticism, just a remark. Looking forward to many more! :-) Regards Nico

It was very good before but to my eyes it's excellent now. Your eyes just flow right into the picture. ~dtallakson

This is wonderful, Olaf. The colors are fabulous, too. ~Lydia

Thank you fellows!

While I had already chosen to clone out a couple of other tiny bright spots, I was debating with myself about the larger one, which was a reflection off a bus stop shelter. Popular demand made me actually try it, and I agree the image is better without it. While I had the spot healing tool out, I also removed a few dust spots.

Regarding black and white: while that works well too, I saw the color as an important element, before I even pressed the shutter, so I am staying true to my vision by keeping it in color.

I Like it very much also, but as already noted, the one sole car headlight should be cloned out. Otherwise perfect, and I like the color. Traveller

This is super. Metal is there in a way. That one little bright spot in the upper left third bothers me, though. I think I would clone it out. ~dtallakson

Granted?! It is, in fact VERY.. very.. very.. very.. ahh.. nevermind.
Nice clean composition and smooth feel. Attractive pattern. I wonder if I'd like it better in B&W.
